Part of the new Tickle Me Extreme friends, Tickle Me Ernie is every bit as charming and fun as his popular friend, T.M.X. Elmo. When you touch his belly, this plush 11-inch doll falls backwards and giggles as he spins in a full circle. He even gets back up on his own! Dressed in his signature striped sweater and red shoes, this Ernie doll is soft, huggable, and a great toy for young children. He comes packaged in a cute cardboard carrying case with a handle at the top and a cutout to poke his ticklish tummy. Each T.M.X. friend has its own unique actions. The T.M.X. Ernie features silly, leg-kicking gyrations followed by humorous phrases. This motorized doll is so soft, kids can pick it up, snuggle with it, then put it down and watch it wiggle. It only takes two tickles to send Ernie into hysterical laughter and kids soon find themselves giggling along. This doll has an incredible likeness to the actual Sesame Street character. During the tickle test, it became easy to see why the T.M.X. friends are in such demand. When kids tickle Ernie's belly, he falls backwards, then lies down and spins in a circle. True to character, he is full of fun phrases including, "I think I need a rubber ducky." Once the laughing spell is over, he even thanks the tickler, saying, "I really needed that." The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only minor setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. Overall, T.M.X. Ernie makes a great toy for its target age range. Even adults will crack a smile as Ernie shakes and spins with laughter.

 Adorably Cute Ernie! December 27, 2008
We just bought this little Ernie today with my son's Christmas money! He is so cute. It laughs and says, "Help! Rubber Ducky!" It had my two year old cracking up when I set it off in front of him. Ernie is so much more entertaining than the T.M.X Elmo. We sold our T.M.X Elmo on ebay because he was just plain annoying and my son would always knock him down and play with something else. I think Ernie has a cute laugh that actually gets me laughing! He is also very eye catching with bright orange, blue, yellow, and red. One important thing: Ernie works more effectively when placed on a hard surface. He tends to fall over alot when placed on carpet. Would recommend for any little one!
Lovable Earnie November 6, 2008
I bought Earnie for my 16 Month old Daughter for Xmas 2007. She wanted nothing to do with him because I guess he was scary and noisy but now she is a year older and loves him so much that she takes him everywhere. It is a good and durable toy and I'm going to get the Cookie Monster this year for her. She also has the TMX Elmo and Baby Elmo as well.

Well, I bought this one on sale because I love the blue Cookie Monster that's kind of similar to this one. But it's not as much fun as the Cookie monster. My son pretty much ignores it. I would recommend getting the Cookie monster instead.
 Not so sure about this toy May 12, 2008
I bought this since my daughter loves her Tickle Me Elmo, and she loves Ernie. She's been a little scared of it since it starts very abruptly, so we've barely used it. I'm not sure if she will grow into it since she is only 8 months old, but as for now, its really not suitable for her. It also lacks the diversity of laughs and moves that Elmo has.
